About Us

Raising a young family in the current economic climate is hard. You want to provide the best clothing for your kids, but finances are tight. Kids are so brand sensitised these days that finding clothes that (a) they like and (b) you can afford is near on impossible. Buying cheap stuff for your kids just doesn’t cut it. The clothing either falls apart after one use or distorts to some unusable shape after one wash.

Raising a young family seems to lead to a glut of stuff; especially clothes. Wardrobes and drawers soon fill to overflowing. You do your yearly sort out of clothes and then, where to put those outgrown clothes? You paid a fair amount for that pair of “good” jeans (even though they were on special) so you’re loath to throw them away. After all they were only worn three or four times before they were outgrown. You ask yourself:

  • How much time will it take for me to sell them myself?
  • What about the environment? If I throw the clothes out, I’ll be adding to landfill. If I buy new clothes to replace them, I’ll be increasing my carbon footprint.
  • Should I donate them? Who to? How do I know they are going to a worthy cause?

With these thoughts in mind, the team at Rainbow Zebra Preloved Childrens Clothing came up with the idea for this site. Why not provide a location where you can make a bit of money from those outgrown, unwanted kids clothes that are just taking up valuable storage space. Why not provide a location where like-minded, cost conscious parents can find that bargain, quality piece of clothing for their fast growing youngsters?

Rainbow Zebra Preloved Childrens Clothing is dedicated to providing quality kids clothing at bargain basement prices. We pride ourselves at sourcing the best quality second hand, sample and out of season clothing and providing it to you at the best possible price.

Rainbow Zebra Preloved Childrens Clothing also feels that it is important to give back to the community. Any preloved clothing that fails to sell (after a set period of time) or is not required after the assessment process (at the sellers discretion) will be donated to a Foster Care Group. The children that are placed in these homes sometimes show up with nothing more than the clothes on their backs. Often they have been removed from a situation of domestic abuse. The wonderful Foster Parents that take these children in are grateful for any donations they receive.
